  A minute with a stethoscope catches new murmurs, arrhythmias and lung sounds that weren't there last year.

• SKIN, COAT AND EARS

  New lumps, dry patches, waxy ears. Some are nothing. Some are worth knowing about early.

• BEHAVIOUR AND MOBILITY

  Slowing down on the stairs, drinking more, sleeping in different spots. The changes owners notice at home are the ones we most want to hear about.
